\ntil for eksempel p\u00e5 selet\u00f8y til hestens hodelag, \u2013 omgjorte til smykker og andre ting.<\/p>\n

Et forgylt beslag fra vikingtid \u2013<\/p>\n

Stilen kan v\u00e6re kontinental fra det karolingiske rike, eller irsk, et insul\u00e6rt forgylt beslag.
\nDet kan ha blitt r\u00f8vet med hjem fra et herjingstokt i vikingtid, eller importert ved handel,
\nSlike like og lignende like beslag ble produsert der ute rundt i klostrene av smykkesmeder med stor erfaring.
\nDe pyntene beslag p\u00e5 relikvieskrin, b\u00f8ker, kors og annet, slik ble skrellet av og tatt med hjem som h\u00e6rfang,
\nn\u00e5ler ble montert og fester ble omgjort, for \u00e5 pynte kvinner og hester,
\nslik er de blitt funnet i Norge flere steder fra gravfunn,
\nspesielt nevner vi Gausel i Rogaland.
\n\u2013 her hjemme i Norge har det blitt gjort mange insul\u00e6re funn fra vikingtid,
\nfra arkeologiske unders\u00f8kelser av gamle gravsteder er det gjort en hel rekke funn.
